Trump’s chances of retaining the presidency are increasing fast, according to bookmakers

The likelihood of there being no change in the White House have more than tripled

The chances of US President Donald Trump staying in the White House are increasing across betting sites, despite the election being called by outlets in favour of Democratic contender Joe Biden.

The probability of Trump keeping his spot in the Oval Office has been rising steadily since the election’s outcome was determined over the weekend, jumping as high as 12.4% by 3pm GMT on 10 November across a spread of odds from Betfair, FTX.com, Smarkets and PredictIt. That marked a rise of 3.6% in the last day alone, while Biden’s odds fell 3.5% to a probability of 87.1%.
