Ian Simm is concerned about the future for ESG. He's particularly worried as regulators try to carve out a definition for what the hugely popular acronym means in investment terms.

The chief executive of Impax Asset Management, the sustainable investment business founded in 1998, says ESG is almost impossible to define, with environmental and social aspects in particular meaning different things to different investors.
