Tunisia follows South Africa into dollar bond market

Banque Centrale de Tunisie has followed the example of South Africa, which set a positive tone for African issuers on Thursday by increasing its latest dollar bond issue by almost one third.

The Tunisian central bank had initially targeted proceeds of $500m (€562m) for the 10-year bond, but raised the issue size to $650m on the advice of Merrill Lynch, its sole bookrunner on the transaction.
