Turkish government plans return to bond market

The government of Turkey is planning to make its first appearance in the international bond market since the country's banking sector collapsed last December.

Advisers to the Turkish treasury say that the government took bids on a five-year euro denominated bond issue earlier this week. But in the end it opted for a shorter three-year maturity. The size of the deal is less than the expected €500m ($460m) at €300m.
