Turquoise appoints for compliance

Turquoise, the putative European equity trading platform, has recruited a former compliance manager from the London Stock Exchange, one of the markets it aims to challenge, to scrutinise trading on the system after its planned launch in September.

Turquoise, which is backed by nine of the world’s largest investment banks, said today that Ian Werner will assume the role of head of compliance and legal before the end of next week.
