Twitter's IPO price range shows it doesn't want to be Facebook 2.0

Twitter is playing it safe.

In an amended securities filing Thursday, the micromessaging service said it would sell up to 80.5 million shares for $17 to $20 each. That values Twitter at $9.4 billion to $11.1 billion-a fairly conservative range, considering some estimates had strayed to $16 billion or more.
