UBS has appointed the former head of US Trust to the new role of chief executive of its private bank within UBS Wealth Management.

Craig Walling, formerly president and chief executive of US Trust, will be based in New York and report to John Straus, head of private wealth management for UBS Wealth Management US. Walling's position is a new one with UBS, which has rolled its domestic private bank operations into the wealth management unit.
