UBS Global Asset Management chief executive John Fraser has persuaded Kai Sotorp, former head of Asia Pacific, to return to the firm and take back his old job.

Sotorp was Fraser's head of Asia Pacific between 2002 and 2004. In a statement to staff Fraser said Sotorp had turned around its Japanese business during the period, and expanded operations in Taiwan, South Korea and China.
