UBS hires well-known academic in capital markets drive

Stern Business School professor, Tommaso Albanese, to rejoin industry as vice-chairman of global capital markets in Emea

UBS has hired a well known academic and Morgan Stanley veteran in a senior role for its global capital markets business in Europe, as the bank looks to boost its market share in the credit and equity markets.

Tommaso Albanese, an adjunct professor of finance at New York University's Stern Business School, will rejoin the industry when he moves to the Swiss bank in August, according to an internal memo from Rob Jolliffe, joint global head of debt capital markets in London.
