The coronavirus crisis means more banks are tackling ESG issues

UBS has named a new head of sustainable banking in Europe in the latest example of an investment bank shifting senior dealmakers to focus on environmental, social and governance issues.

The Swiss bank has handed Armin Peter, its current head of debt capital markets syndicate, additional responsibility as head of sustainable banking in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to an internal memo sent to employees seen by Financial News and confirmed by a bank spokeswoman.
