UBS has named a new head of technology at its investment bank, which has increasingly been turning to algorithms and automation for tasks previously performed by humans.

Zoe Evans, who has been overseeing tech at the Swiss investment bank on an interim basis since the departure of Neil Boston in the summer, has been handed the role permanently, according to an internal memo.
