UBS has made a number of management changes following its takeover of US brokerage PaineWebber earlier this year.

Joseph Grano, chief executive officer of PaineWebber, who went on to become chief executive officer of the asset management division of UBS Warburg following the merger, is to join the group executive board on January 1.
