UBS has appointed Peter Wuffli, president of the group executive board, as chief executive officer and Clive Standish, who runs the group's Asia-Pacific business, as chief financial officer.

The Swiss financial services group reintroduced the roles of CEO and CFO among several senior executive changes on Wednesday. Wuffli assumes his new role immediately, while Standish will become CFO in April 2004.
