UBS has tapped Credit Suisse chief executive Ulrich Körner for its board as it merges with cross-town rival Credit Suisse, but has largely stuck with its own leadership team for the combined entity.

Körner will join UBS's board when the transaction closes in the coming weeks, the bank said in a statement.
