UBS' Triton fund saved by fresh investments

Three UK pension funds have invested nearly £200m in UBS Global Asset Management’s Triton Property Fund

Three UK pension schemes have invested nearly £200m in UBS Global Asset Management’s Triton Property Fund, making commitments that have “totally repositioned” the struggling fund and rescued it from liquidation, Financial News has learnt.

Financial News reported in May that the fund was in talks with institutional investors interested in buying shares in the fund from current investors that wanted to redeem their holdings. At the time, about 40% of investors wanted their money back.
