UK actuaries call for greater disclosure of fund solvency

The UK's Institute of Actuaries (IOA) has unveiled plans to improve the level of information that scheme members are given about the health of their pension funds.

The new guidance will require actuaries to inform pension trustees whether or not their assets are sufficient to pay obligations if the company fails or the scheme is wound up.
