UK again moves to defend its controversial Brexit bill

Boris Johnson’s government has again moved to defend its controversial attempt to breach international law in its Brexit legislation, a day after it was defeated by the upper house of the UK parliament.

The controversial clauses in the Internal Market Bill, currently making its way through the parliament, would give ministers carte blanche to “disapply” certain trade rules already agreed with the EU.
