UK corporate lawyers applaud new competition legislation

Lawyers have welcomed the final sealing of the Enterprise Act, a piece of UK legislation designed to clamp down on competition offences, although they warn that the move came at a price.

There had been some concern that the bill would not get royal assent before the end of the parliamentary session next week, meaning the legislation would have to go back to square one.
