UK finance firms struggle with net zero targets as pandemic ‘irreversibly’ forces climate issues

UK financial services firms overseeing more than £42tn in combined assets say they are struggling to meet key goals on cutting carbon emissions, with just over half admitting they do not currently have targets in place to achieve net zero status.

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions has become a growing priority for governments and companies across all sectors, with the UK committing to become carbon neutral by 2050.
