UK funds show largest decline since 1990

Only 18% of the entire UK domestic fund universe saw positive returns for 2001, according to Lipper, the fund rating agency.

The news follows hard on the heels on the decision by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), the UK regulatory watchdog, to restructure the way in which financial advice is offered to UK consumers.
