UK government: ‘Work from home if you can’

‘They are reluctant steps that we’re taking, but they’re absolutely necessary’

The UK government is urging the nation to work from home when possible because of the second coronavirus wave sweeping the country.

In an interview with Sky TV on 22 September, ahead of the government’s meetings and announcements on further curbs to contain the exponential growth of the virus, Cabinet Office Minister Michael Gove said there would be a “shift in emphasis” and “if it is possible for people to work from home they should do so”.
