Barclays Global Investors has grabbed a seat on the exchange-traded fund (ETF) bandwagon, with the launch of iFTSE 100, the UK market's first ETF.

The new product is among the first in a series of i-shares to be launched in Europe and will be available to investors from Friday, April 28. It aims to provide investors with diversity and exposure to the largest companies in the UK market through the FTSE 100.
