A UK judge denied Arif Naqvi’s request for bail in his extradition case to the US on concern the founder of the Abraaj Group could flee to Pakistan.
Naqvi, 58, was arrested at London’s Heathrow Airport on April 10 as he returned from Pakistan after US prosecutors requested his extradition as part of a sprawling criminal case against Abraaj, once the largest emerging markets private equity firm, which collapsed last year.
