UK pensions group demands suspension of funding requirement

The UK's National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) has demanded an immediate suspension of the Minimum Funding Requirement (MFR) &quotto prevent any further damage to defined benefit pension provision.&quot

In a statement released Tuesday, the association argued that MFR strictures are causing a mismatch between liability calculations and the worth of assets held within a fund.
