UK pensions moving abroad

Dresdner RCM survey shows sea change in opinion

The trend of UK pension funds shifting away from UK equities in favour of overseas is gaining momentum, according to a survey by Dresdner RCM Global Investors.

The survey shows that seven out of 10 UK consultants now believe as much as 50% of a UK pension fund's equity portfolio should be invested overseas. The current ratio is 68:32 in favour of UK equities.
