UK property activity rises despite reduced returns

There are signs of life in UK commercial property, despite the fact that returns are expected to drop, and pension funds are still largely ignoring the sector.

Expected UK commercial property returns for 2001 have been scaled back to 7.1%, from 8.1% in August, according to a regular investment expectations survey of sector professionals produced by the Investment Property Forum, Estates Gazette and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
