UK stockbroker Shore Capital takes advantage of Brexit uncertainty

UK stockbroker Shore Capital nearly doubled its profits in 2017, taking advantage of bulge bracket investment banks "re-scaling" their London businesses after the Brexit vote, its co-chief executive said.

The firm's co-chief executive Simon Fine told Financial News that uncertainty created by Brexit and challenges implementing new European trading rules at the start of the year had prompted many large investment banks to reexamine their UK businesses.
