UK voting agency to launch global SRI service

The UK proxy voting agency, Pensions Investment Research Consultancy (Pirc), is teaming up with a group of researchers to provide a global socially responsible investing monitoring service.

News of the service, expected to launch this autumn, comes at a testing time for pension funds, which are required to formalise their policies on environmental, social, ethical issues in their statement of principles (SIPs) by the July 3.
