UK watchdog probes bond market ‘cartel’ — report

Competition and Markets Authority reveals few details of early-stage investigation, but more is likely to be revealed soon

The Competition and Markets Authority has begun an investigation of potentially “anti-competitive” practices by banks operating in London’s bond markets, according to a report on November 18.

The authority said in a statement on November 16 that it had begun a new probe of companies in the financial services sector, without specifying any further detail.
