UK’s ambassador to EU quits as Brexit talks loom

The UK’s ambassador to the European Union, Ivan Rogers, has resigned his post, a spokeswoman for the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office said on Tuesday, Dow Jones Newswires reports.

The move comes ahead of the start of the UK’s formal divorce talks with the EU following June’s Brexit vote. Prime Minister Theresa May has said she will trigger negotiations before the end of March.
