Unicredit picks Merrill MD for sales role

UniCredit has hired a fixed income banker from Merrill Lynch to run its capital markets sales division as part of a sustained drive to expand its investment banking business.

Klaus Swoboda joins the bank as head of sales, reporting to Willi Hemetsberger, head of global markets. He is set to join the bank on July 1.
