UniCredit set to issue €1.2bn bond

UniCredit, the Italian bank formerly known as UniCredito Italiano, is today expected to issue a €1.2bn ($1.4bn) bond to help boost its capital ratios in advance of its €19bn acquisition of Germany's HVB.

The deal is split into two issues, one for €750m and another for £300m (€443m).
