Deutsche Bank has been given a mergers and acquisitions advisory mandate for Unilever just months after the Anglo-Dutch conglomerate hired the bank as joint corporate broker.
Last month Unilever officially hired Deutsche as joint corporate broker alongside existing broker UBS Warburg, although the bank actually started working with the company some months before. Deutsche Bank has now been asked to advise Unilever on the planned sale of Loders Croklaan Group, its oils and fats division. The company also occasionally uses other advisers, including Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.
