Unilever pension scheme drops Putnam Investments

Unilever, the Anglo-Dutch detergent and food giant, has become the latest to sack Putnam Investments, the US fund group which has settled federal and state charges of improper trading.

Putnam had been running a £275m (€393m) equity portfolio of Unilever's £3.1bn pension scheme.
