Unilever shelves London move after shareholder revolt

Anglo-Dutch consumer group bows to pressure from investors over restructuring

Unilever has dropped plans to move its headquarters from the UK, a week after one of the Anglo-Dutch consumer good group’s largest shareholders said it would vote against the proposal.

Unilever launched a restructuring in March that it said would make the company “simpler, more agile and more focused”. That included changing its corporate structure from two entities located in the UK and Netherlands to one based in Rotterdam.
