The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) of the US will meet today to discuss plans to change the way companies report interests on their balance sheets.

At the meeting, between the board and Professor Patrick Hopkins from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, discussions will centre on Hopkins' research paper, 'Purchase, pooling and equity analysts' valuation judgments'.
