Stephen Bondi has been lured away from newly floated US fund manager Gabelli Asset Management to join Bruce Lipnick's Asset Alliance Corporation.

Bondi was executive vice-president at Gabelli. He is now becoming chief financial officer at AAC, which has stakes in a nest of hedge funds managing more than $1.6bn (€1.7bn).
