US groups round on regulator

The Business Roundtable, representing the largest US companies, has attacked plans by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to allow investors to nominate board candidates in certain defined circumstances.

The roundtable says more research should be undertaken on the impact of SEC plans before the rules are implemented.
