US private equity firms eye $9bn insurance buy-out

Texas Pacific Group and Thomas H. Lee Partners, two US private equity firms, are considering a $9bn (€6.9bn) buy-out of Fidelity National Financial, a US insurance and information group.

The two firms have been evaluating Fidelity for four months and talks are now at an advanced stage, according to The New York Times, which cites bankers involved in the deal.
