The Bank of England should offer financial incentives to potential whistleblowers and remove a “deleterious” report from its website that outlines its opposition to doing so, whistleblowing advocacy groups in the US and Europe have demanded.
In a letter sent to the central bank’s governor Mark Carney on June 20, the US National Whistleblower Center said the BoE was wrong when it stated in a 2014 report that the US whistleblowing regime, which includes financial incentives for those wishing to out wrongdoers, was not a good model to follow.
