Yankees doing dandy in European surge

As European companies seek to issue more high-yield debt, they are increasingly crossing the Atlantic to do so

As European companies seek to issue more high-yield debt, they are increasingly crossing the Atlantic to do so. The three largest high-yield deals marketed in the US this year were by European issuers, according to Dealogic.

French cable company Numericable Group issued a $10.9 billion deal in April, setting a record for deal size, while its parent Altice's own $5.8 billion deal that month ranked second, not far ahead of Italy's Wind Acquisition Finance, a unit of VimpelCom, on $5.2 billion.
