USS recruits ex-JP Morgan banker to new risk role

The UK's largest pension fund has appointed its first chief financial risk officer as it grapples with a substantial funding challenge.

The £42 billion Universities Superannuation Scheme said on Tuesday that Guy Coughlan, the former co-head of JP Morgan's longevity-swaps business, had joined in January. He will be responsible for the development and oversight of its funding strategy.
