The UK is in the middle of “some bumper weeks of supply” of the Covid-19 vaccine, health secretary Matt Hancock told the House of Commons, due to delayed doses from India and retesting a batch of 1.7 million vaccines.

“In the last week, we've had a batch of 1.7 million doses delayed because of the need to retest its stability,” Hancock said on 18 March.
