APS Asset Management, the Asian investment specialists based in Singapore, has appointed Pieter van Putten as managing director.

Van Putten was previously chief executive of Morley Fund Mangement's Singapore office. He resigned from his post this October, when Morley, asset arm of UK insurer Aviva, decided to close its Singapore office with the loss of 10 jobs.
