Virginie Maisonneuve, formerly in charge of building an equities business at the bond giant Pimco, has a similar job at her new shop, Asian fund manager Eastspring Investments. Her mission is to take the firm to the world.

She joined in November and has spent the past few months getting to know the firm, which manages $146bn chiefly out of Singapore. It also has a series of satellite offices around south-east Asia.
