High-speed traders back new cryptocurrency market

More established financial firms are looking to capitalise on the growing crypto market

Two of the world's biggest high-frequency trading firms are among the latest financial institutions to throw their weight behind a new market for buying and selling digital assets.

DRW and Virtu Financial are backing ErisX, a derivatives exchange and clearing venture for trading cryptocurrencies that has been set up by Chicago-based Eris Exchange.
