Growth in trading on US-based electronic options and futures exchanges is gathering momentum as liquidity on individual exchanges continues to improve.

Electronic options exchange International Securities Exchange (ISE) recorded a 68% jump in market share of listed equity and index options during November to 20%, compared with 12% in the same period one year ago.
