Vorstand backed DT share sale

The controversial block trade this month of shares in Deutsche Telekom by Deutsche Bank was authorised by Thomas Fischer, chief operating officer at Deutsche Bank, and Jürgen Fitschen, head of transaction banking, according to a source at Deutsche Bank.

The two bankers were the only members of Deutsche Bank's Vorstand who could be contacted by the investment bankers working on the deal to get authorisation to sell the shares on the morning of the deal.
