Wall Street bank takes DE Shaw stake

Lehman Brothers bought a minority holding in DE Shaw, the fifth time the bank has invested in a hedge fund, keeping pace with Morgan Stanley which snapped up a fifth alternative asset manager this week.

Lehman Brothers has bought a minority stake in DE Shaw, involving an up-front payment as well as the promise of future payments contingent on other factors, but neither Lehman nor DE Shaw revealed the price.
