US retail behemoth Walmart is looking to hire someone to develop a digital currency roadmap, joining Amazon in looking for ways to let customers pay for goods with cryptocurrencies.

A recruitment ad on its website said Walmart is looking for a senior director based in company headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas, who will "identify customer needs and translate them into product requirements" as well as identify crypto-related investment and partnerships.
